About Us
Welcome to Priyadarshini Charitable Society
Priyadarshini Charitable Society is a non-profit organization in Kerala committed to driving positive change in society. In memory of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi we focus on empowering women youth, and marginalized communities across Kerala. Our primary mission is to promote social development through education, healthcare, and sustainable development initiatives, especially in tribal and coastal regions

Every woman has the power to shape her world, and when women unite, we can build a better world for all women where every woman’s voice, role, and contributions are valued. The NGO that we run is different from others in that we offer training in life and technical skills, education, and support to socially and economically disadvantaged young women over the age of eighteen, by organizing them and providing them with a variety of services to help them lead sustainable development in their local communities, including:
Women Empowerment
In India, a woman is assaulted every three minutes. Our work focuses on breaking the cycle of vulnerability and empowering women to fight against violence. We work to transform women from victims of circumstance to changemakers through education, awareness, and solidarity.We also focus on enhancing women’s livelihoods, improving their health and hygiene, and building self-esteem enabling them to contribute confidently to their households and communities.
Education
Education is the key to unlocking potential. We provide affordable, accessible education to women and youth, especially those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Our aim is to offer both UG and PG programs making education accessible through local, offline classes. By improving literacy, we empower women to take control of their lives, pursue meaningful careers and improve their families quality of life.
Rural Development
We believe in the potential of rural women to drive community change. Through skill-building workshops in areas like digital literacy tailoring and sustainable livelihoods we provide women with tools to create economic opportunities for themselves and their communities.
Tribal Children's Education
We are committed to ensuring that no child is left behind, especially in tribal areas. Our initiatives include:
- Free education for tribal children in remote regions.
- Scholarships and grants to help them continue their studies.
- Health & wellness programs to support overall well-being.
Youth Empowerment
We believe in shaping the leaders of tomorrow by providing educational scholarships career counseling and leadership workshops to young people. These initiatives help build their confidence leadership skills and encourage them to become active participants in their communities.
Counseling Center for Mental Health in Kerala
Understanding the growing mental health challenges, especially in the aftermath of crises, we have set up a counseling center in Kerala to support those struggling with mental health issues.
